Over 100 years old, this town has been transformed back into its historic past.
Nearby is the Wailua Golf Course, so challenging and famous, and on the ocean. This course has hosted two U.S. Amateur Links World Championships and the fee is under $30. Municipal tennis courts are just around the corner. Even horseback riding in the Kapaa hills is available 10 minutes from the hotel.
Because Kauai is surrounded by the ocean and beautiful beaches, it really is an ocean sport island. Boat tours are available along with scuba diving, parasailing, deep sea fishing and snorkeling. A lovely boat ride up to the famous fern grotto is 1 mile from the hotel. Kauai is most famous for its helicopter rides in the mysterious and majestic valleys with gigantic waterfalls.
